If ever we want to round the number upward or downward to the nearest multiple, then we can used the same by using “MROUND” Command.
This function can be used to calculate the MCA Fees for incorporating a Company as per revised fees structure .

What Does It Do ?

·         This function rounds a number up or down to the nearest multiple specified by the user.

How to use it ?

'=MROUND(NumberToRound,MultipleToUse)

If ever we want to calculate the number of working days between two dates. Then we can do the same by using command “NETWORKDAYS”

What Does It Do ?

·         This function will calculate the number of working days between two dates.
·         It will exclude weekends and any holidays.
·         Holidays : This is a list of dates which will be excluded from the calculation, such as Festivals and bank holidays

How to use it ?

'=NETWORKDAYS(StartDate,EndDate,Holidays)

What Does It Do ?

·         This function performs a test to see if the test fails
·         If the test fails, the result is TRUE.
·         If the test is met, then the result is FALSE.

If ever we want to test one or more command to get the outcome, we use the OR Command for the same.


What Does It Do ?

·         This function tests two or more conditions to see if any of them are true.
·         It can be used to test that at least one of a series of numbers meets certain conditions.
·         Normally the OR() function would be used in conjunction with a function such as =IF().


How to use it ?

'IF(OR(Test1,Test2),TRUE,FALSE)

If ever we want to find the exact Quotient of the given number, then we can use QUOTIENT Command. It is mostly used where we have to find the number of packets to be packed in the box.

What Does It Do ?

·         This function calculates the number of times a number can be divided by another number.
·         It ignores any remainder, only showing the whole number.

'=QUOTIENT(NumberToBeDivided,Divisor)

Excel Tips - Tip 28 (Using RANK Formulae)

Here is Today’s tip for you. Hope this help you.

If ever we want to Rank a Number from Larger to Smaller or vice versa, then use RANK Command to do the same.


What Does It Do ?

·         This function calculates the position of a value in a list relative to the other values in the list.
·         The ranking can be done on an ascending (low to high) or descending (high to low) basis.
·         If there are duplicate values in the list, they will be assigned the same rank. Subsequent ranks would not follow on sequentially, but would take into account the fact that there were duplicates.

How to use it ?

'=RANK(NumberToRank,ListOfNumbers,RankOrder)

·         Using 0 will rank larger numbers at the top. (This is optional, leaving it out has the same effect).
·         Using 1 will rank small numbers at the top.

What Does It Do ?

This function produces a number shown as Roman numerals in various formats.

The Roman Number Format can be any of the following.

·         0 is Classic. This is used if no format is specified.
·         1 is more Concise.
·         2 is even more Concise.
·         3 is even more Concise still.
·         4 is Simplified.
·         TRUE is Classic
·         FALSE is Simplified

Excel Tips - Tip 25 (Using Sum Product Formulae)

If ever we want to get a sum of data with multiplying the two coloumns with a single formulae, then we can use the function of “SUMPRODUCT” . As the name justify it first multiply and then sum the data range.

What Does It Do ?

·         This function uses at least two columns of values.
·         The values in the first column are multiplied with the corresponding value in the second column.
·         The total of all the values is the result of the calculation.

How to use it ?

'=SUMPRODUCT(Range1, Range, Range2 through to Range n)

Excel Tips - Tip 24 (Adding and Removing Comment)

Hi Everyone

Here is the Twenty Fourth Tip for you. Hope this help you.

How the COMMENT in the cell will helps us.

If ever you want to insert any review to a particular Text in a cell, you can do the same by inserting a COMMENT to that cell.

How to Insert a COMMENT to a cell.

1. Go to that cell, from where you want to insert a COMMENT.

2. Go to REVIEW tab, and select NEW COMMENT from there. Or use shortcut (Alt+R+C)

3. Now the cell will show the comment.


How to Delete a COMMENT from a cell.

1. Go to that cell, from where you want to Delete the COMMENT.

2. Go to REVIEW tab, and select DELETE COMMENT from there. Or use shortcut (Alt+R+D)

3. Now the cell doesn’t contain any comment.


How to Show all COMMENTS in a Worksheet.

1. Go to any cell in a worksheet where you want to Show the COMMENT.

2. Go to REVIEW tab, and select SHOW ALL COMMENT from there. Or use shortcut (Alt+R+A)

3. Now the sheet will show all the comment.


Bonus Tip: You can also insert a comment by clicking RIGHT CLICK from the Mouse on the particular cell and choose option “INSERT COMMENT”.
